At Wagyu-Ya on Chevron, we’re all about the very best Wagyu and beef from Japan and Australia.

Our menu features top-grade A5 Wagyu from Kagoshima, which is the current champion Wagyu Brand in Japan. Our Australian Wagyu and beef line-up consists of selected prime cuts from leading growers, with our main supplier being the award winning Jacks Creek from Tamworth in NSW.

We serve our carefully selected beef at our restaurant on Chevron Island in the Gold Coast, where you can enjoy Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) and an eclectic mix of Japanese cuisine, from Sashimi, Bento boxes and many of our original Wagyu- inspired creations.

Hello from Restaurant

Owner Yoshi is a meat- trader involved in exports, distribution, processing, retail sales and most recently, import and sales of Japanese Wagyu. With years of experience in the industry and most importantly, a love and passion for top- quality beef, Yoshi hopes to share his passion with our friends on and visitors to the Gold Coast.

Chef/Manager Aki did most of her culinary training in Japan, covering various cuisines, from Japanese to Italian and Mediterranean. Aki has been part of the Wagyu-Ya team for the past 6 years, honing her Wagyu expertise, and has headed the kitchen and managed the restaurant for the past 12 months.
