Sydney Sites and Wonderful Washoku

WashokuLovers

Do you have a friend visiting from out of town? Do you struggle to think of where to take them for some touristy activities? As a Sydney sider, we become so acclimatised to our beautiful city that we often forget just how amazing it is.  Keeping that in mind, Washoku Lovers have put together a whole day of adventure and food, visiting the best restaurants and giving you a map of what to see before or after your meal.

Start your Sydney tour with some shopping in Newtown. Stop by Sushi Train Newtown for a delicious early lunch. Open from 11.30 AM, fill up on fresh sashimi and enjoy the novelty of the train style of restaurant – it never gets old! Full of vibrant culture, knick knack shops and resale fashion shops, Newtown has everything you need to amaze an out-of-town guest.

Use your Washoku Lovers membership card to upgrade from a 4-piece to a 6-piece sashimi set.  Then it’s just a short drive to your next destination. For everyone catching public transport, it’s about 30 minutes away by train.

There’s an unspoken rule that you can’t have a guest in Sydney without taking them to the famous Bondi Beach. Bondi Junction Station is just a short walk to Mappen Bondi Junction. With cheap options that won’t burn a hole in your wallet, you can then head to the beach with a full stomach and peacefully enjoy the salty smell and the Spring weather (it’s almost here!).

For just $9.90 you’ll have your whole late lunch sorted. Washoku Lovers members receive a special meal deal that includes a mini kake udon, mini ontama bukkake soba, mini Japanese curry bowl, mini salad and a drink.

When you’ve got enough sand between your toes – and everywhere else – head over to Kings Cross. It’s only 5 minutes by train, so take your time at the beach. Busshari is just a short walk from the station, and it will have your dinner sorted (and being in Kings Cross, I don’t even need to tell you what your night entertainment will be!).

Three places and three meals, if your guest isn’t satisfied by these classic and current Sydney spots and eateries, maybe you shouldn’t invite them back!
